Non-Chemical Devices (NCD) are currently used as environmentally conscious stand-ins for chemical treatment especially in the water-based air-conditioning systems found in many large buildings. These devices are mainly classified as magnetic devices, electrostatic, mechanical, catalytic, electrostatic/ultrasonic systems. The objectives of these Non-Chemical Treatment Devices are to eliminate all chemicals additives, health, safety and environmental issues and also reduce operating costs.
